(Grand Island, NE) - The end of the school year is fast approaching and with that comes the end of a 35-year run in education for one Northwest Public Schools principal who can say he's had a hand in a little bit of everything in his teaching and administration career. Scott Mazour will be retiring as principal at the end of the school year from Cedar Hollow Elementary where he has been for the past 13 years. The education career started after Mazour graduated from UNL with a math major and later joined Bradshaw High School as a math teacher for three years. Then Northwest came calling as Mike Zulkoski and Joe Toczek then hired Mazour to be a math teacher for the Vikings, which included coaching girls' basketball and girls' golf for 17 years. Mazour then left Northwest High School but remained in the district moving to 1R Elementry School to become the principal and later would shift over to Cedar Hollow becoming the school principal.

Listen to an interview below with Mazour as he finishes out his final weeks as an educator.
